GATE 2026 Registration
Every year, IISc Bangalore and the IITs administer the highly competitive Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), a national exam for applicants hoping to get hired by a prestigious Public Sector. In addition to a segment on general aptitude, the computer-based exam assesses a candidate’s knowledge of engineering, technology, science, and architecture topics using multiple-choice, multiple-select, and numerical response questions.
Candidates can select from GATE’s more than 30 subject papers during the GATE 2026 Registration as per their interest. The score has a three-year validity period and is recognized by both Indian and some foreign universities. Steps To Apply Online GATE 2026 @ gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Visit gate2026.iitg.ac.in the official website.
- To access the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal, click the “GATE 2026 Registration” link.
- Register for a new account using a working email address, mobile number, and password.
- Enter the credentials that were created to log in.
- Fill out the application with your personal, academic, and communication details.
- Choose the exam paper or papers you wish to take as well as the exam city.
- Provide scanned copies of your signature, photo, category/PwD certificate (if applicable), and legitimate identification in the format specified.
- Use UPI, a debit or credit card, or net banking to pay the application cost online.
- After carefully reviewing the application, submit it.
- The confirmation page can be downloaded and printed for future use.
Eligibility Required For GATE 2026
- Candidates must have finished their engineering or technology bachelor’s degree, or be in their final year of study (four years after 10+2 or three years after diploma).
- Eligible candidates hold a Master’s degree in computer applications, statistics, mathematics, science, or a related field.
- Applicants must be enrolled in their undergraduate program and be in their third year or above.
- There is no minimum age requirement to participate in GATE 2026.
- Applicants may be from India or other countries, such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia, Nepal, and the United Arab Emirates.
- A reputable university or organization must issue the eligibility certificates and marksheets.
